FRESHERS

THE SCHOOL YEAR IS ABOUT TO START AGAIN AND AS USUAL WE GOT NEW BLOOD COMING INTO TOWN. THE QUESTION MANY PEOPLE ALWAYS ASK IS ARE THE GIRLS THIS YEAR BETTER THAN THE ONES OF LAST YEAR?. WATEVER WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT THE MOST INTRESTING YEAR EVER. UB STUDENTS BIG UP URESELFS

Comments:

What kind of mediocre article is this? I do not seem to get any thing by reading this. Is this suppose to be captivating or derogatory? In my opinion this is a blatant stub

Human being are usually complex and entitle to their various opinions being good or bad.

I think our writer should had rather focus on school calendar and on coming events of the semester instead of chicks. Hope all your attention are not focus on girls and forget your primary objective in UB.

I believe that this article is some kind of a prank,we need to ask our selves the questions of academics based on our society of today like as a new school year approaches we all know freshers are coming but we all as cameroonians should ask ourseleves if those graduating from the university will have a job tommorow in the government or any private sector,so is not a matter to find out if the girls who are coming in are better or worse than the previous ones.We must learn to face the future and fight against hardship which has an impact in our society. From the look of things we all see that many students at the end spring-semester turn to graduate from all state universities but are they liable to secure a job?that should be the focus of the article dear writer.
Please this should serve like a little piece of advice to those who are posting articles is better to write on something which is captivating and beneficial as a topic of discussion to the society rather than an article which is derogatory.Thank you.

big up yourself da breeze.firstly i must sya your article is really amateurish.it makes sense yeah but man u just didnt take it from the right angle and hey this is an educational forum and not a place where u talk about girls and anticipate their coming to the university.think of your studies and your future man.

Yes, it is true that the topic is not ‘captivative’. But it is also true that the writer has a right to his opionions and thoughts. It is true what Julius is saying, looking at the future and not girls.

Ladies and gentlemen of the forum, we shouldn’t not just criticise people as such. Post what you think is “interestin”. I bet you that not all persons will say that it is “captivating”. For “the best thing of A can be the worst for B”.

It is commom place in the Mountain City at this time to hear people talking about what the writer posted. He thought it is just the right time for discussion. Very common place to hear in Buea what they call, “October Rush”. It is getting closer to “October Rush” but we could still talk of other things than this Da Breeze.

“Do not reply when you are angry. Do not make a promise when you are in joy. Do not let someone become a priority in your life when you are just an option in their life”.

dis article is really funny do we go to school for a bueaty contest

@BBC, do you know when people say that “investigative journalism?”. It is true that For “the best thing of A can be the worst for B”; What is bad is intrinsically bad and not because it is good to A and distasteful to B. Our criticism are done to make this forum interesting so that persons can visit it. It has to stimulate a discussion, engage people into questioning wrong things and above all improve our way of life.
I read an article about “freshers” and “gals” in UB sometime back in another newspaper but the author wrote it to highlight and attitude change during occurring with the academic year commences.
I would be pleased to know if the authors of some of these articles are professionals, newbies, or charlatans. With this, we will ignore things we consider as low quality.

people shy away from realities like this.for what reason,i do not know.like it or not, chicks play a very important role in UB these days.be it distraction or retraction or whatever,it is necessary to know and compare.maybe it will be october-rush or october-strolling.

Its not everything that makes a happening makes an article. Some events are simply mediocre. Thats why good news must be captivating, informative, creating awareness and you can name the rest. If people were shy, then I wonder if they would have been any talk about this palaver. I did not say it was bad, I said it was a blatant stub. The biggest sense of maturity that would have been demonstrated here was for the author him/herself to have elaborate further. Be fair to yourself and realize that our criticism are much better to read than what prompted them. Be the change that you seek and not the perils which you clamour for.

first of all y’all need to chill. haters pleeeeaaaaaaaaase. its just a joke we are in UB godamit.and we all know that there is a fun side and educational side. i respect ure views but y’all gotta respect mine. if u dont think its nice for ure eyes go to the next article..... I REPRESENT THE FUN SIDE.

by: Sebastien
from: Buea

@Sebastien, hmm “godamit” you say. Sorry dude I didn’t know this was what you embrace as fun. An article of just three sentences!! You must be kidding dude. I meant no disrespect for your views, else the whole of this website will be full of everyone’s bullshit. You must welcome criticism and either you change or maintain your status quo. After-all you got writers herein who affirm your posting. Lets leave this to the philosophers of the audience to ponder on.

oh come on guys dont act like full gospel christains y are u all talking like da breeze is not entitled to an opinion there is a word called PERSPECTIVE if u dont know he simply is giving his own perspective of the new skul year and instead of trying to make ridicule of him say wats on ur own mind. Anyway y did u wait for him to post his comment b4 u start talking u all shld have tried to put urs first to see the comments that come after anyway am with u sebastien the problem with Africans is too much PRETENCE they hate to show thier real self

by: duke conry
from: not specified

@Duke, this is not a full gospel business and I suggest you should choose appropriate words and painting a subjective picture our that beloved denomination. WI am not comfortable with persons writing stubs. Nobody says Sebastian should not write. On the contrary he should write and write something captivating, something to bring in new thinking and something that people will enjoy reading. You said “Anyway y did u wait for him to post his comment b4 u start talking u all shld have tried to put urs first ...”. Can you make comment in the absence of a post? We can comment only after somebody writes a post or after another comment. I really that you are not getting the flow in this positive criticisms.

guys guys relax already when we found the article, we didnt want to approve but we came to the conclussion that this is some sort of hot vibe around the university community when ever schools resume or new academic year… so we decided to get everyones opinion on it…
its bad and its good and thats how the whole world is and its the reality of our environment

Hi, I did not say the article is bad. I said it is a stub. A stub is an article containing only a few sentences of text which is too short to provide encyclopedic coverage of a subject, but not so short as to provide no useful information, and it should be capable of expansion. That is why I continue to uphold positive criticism.
Our aim is to improve the quality of future articles. If I was not interested in this site, I thing I wouldn’t have wasted my time trying to make a point. Just my sincere opinion for which everyone is opinionated.
Keep the good work AfroVision Group Buea

@Mosaic
