Here we go again. When we read to understand, then we become aware of the present situations, be it opportunities and others. IF we can’t read to understand then we don’t know what’s where, how to get it if that opportunity comes. Its absolutely shocking and disgusting that after surfing the net on issues about MTN ORANGE and our own very CAMTEL, I came to notice that our two some how private mobile providers have made it a point of duty to present information in a bilingual manner in all sections. How then does CAMTEL notify the other person who has not been able to read French. Does this mean every Franchophone can speak English ?
If you go to the camtel website http://www.camtel.com and look at the right hand side, there is link saying English version… Why fool the normal man .... DOES IT WORK ? When clicked this should provide you with the english version. Main page !
See how we sell our services. Look at the MTN and orange websites. You will find out they’ve got english versions in all sections Why has CAMTEL not got an english Version at certain sections. Business offer ? Why make it difficult for the english reading person. Why should we click a link everytime and get the hard to get english version, or still stay with the french version. Why use the camouflage button then.? Take if off CAMTEL and we shall still be able to read, than present it to the world that you are bilingual when you’ve got no prove for that. You see knowledge is power, even if they fool us we know , but the problem here is do we remain dormant as not to make it clear to those concern that this is wrong ?

Lawrence… Thanks for reminding us.That is exactly why MTN and ORANGE all excell in buz more than our so-called CAMTEL...I dont even care whether it exists or not and i wont ever care whether they survive or not.We of the english-speaking tongue are not needed....As long as the other companies offer me sure and flexible services,i remain with them....Bros why u even waste ya time di check all that stuff?anyway,i be dont doam too one day and i discover’am
@Larry, U really have some serious issues with this country. I agree with u, but like i will always say, the problem is not our country, rather the problem is us. I bet if u go to CAMTEL u will findout that there is an idiot employed to do that job but since nobody cares, he does what he likes and goes with impunity. All we care in this country, is complain how Paul Biya has not done this or that, are we doing our own jobs?
@XSCAPIST, Do u really think MTN and ORANGE are doing better than CAMTEL in business? Well check this out; CAMTEL is not only telephony, our television, radio, foreign football matches via CRTV and, and, and even MTN and ORANGE all depend on CAMTEL technically and by Law. So look at it this way, NO CAMTEL = NO MTN, NO ORANGE, NO RINGO, NO CRTV… and the list continues. Keep aside VSAT technology(which of course is disappearing) then u can conveniently say, NO CAMTEL = NO INTERNET IN CAMEROON AND CENTRAL AFRICA!
XCAPIST, it is hard to know how point. Camtel has these facilities because it a government run business or atleast had been. There must be checks and balances and saying that someone hired to do the job isn’t doing it and camtel has no blame is just naive and preposterous. There must be leadership from top to bottom. Legitimacy is the reverse but when leadership is failing everything crumbles. Such has been the situation in Cameroon. Concerning Paul Biya, i am alarmed that after 28 yrs in power with an economy that has never seen growth, massive corruption and deteriorating roads and city corners, one would even say biya is not to blame. get your heads level again Cameroonians. 28 yrs in power is an indication of dictatorship, having people singing songs about a president says much. Do they still lay the jingle( paul biya) before news on radio? Paul Biya got himself a backdoor deal to buy an aircratf and his peers stole the money after he tried to evade the IMF. It was almost a $35 million about 17 billion CFA. Who accounts for that? Not to blame ? He now has his corrupt ambassador who had been here in DC for 15 yrs in Kondengui. Give me a break !!!
