JCI University of Buea History
UB Jaycees was created and recognised by the University of Buea in the fall of 1999. Its mother chapter is called JCI Buea Summit. Jaycee ABETY Aloys was Chapter president of Buea Summit Jaycees then, and was strongly assisted by Jaycees George MOFOR. Being affiliated to JCI, UB JAYCEES have been realizing projects which are in line with the 4 JCI Areas of Opportunity (Business, Individual, Community and International opportunities). More, projects in line with Global partners of Junior Chamber have also been executed to promote international co-operation and peace, at the local level. The United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), have always been part of UB JAYCEES priorities in their Plan of Actions, with focus on goals one (1) and six (6) which aim at eradicating extreme poverty and combating HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other diseases respectively.
